“Bryan’s really got his system tuned to perfection – during his last Facebook event, not only did I manage to add close to 200 new subscribers to my mailing list, but I sold over 300 copies of the book featured in the event… and that was just me! With over a dozen other authors taking part, the event was a storming success with thousands of books sold and hundreds of happy customers. Bryan is THE MAN when it comes to Facebook event marketing.”
-Nick Stephenson, author of Supercharge Your Kindle Sales.
After running six private Multi-Author Facebook Events in 2014, Sell More Books Show co-host Bryan Cohen is opening the events to the public for the very first time! These events have sold thousands of books in a single day, and now you can be a part of the action.
Submit your application below to be part of the sole featured event of Spring 2015. Bryan will evaluate the applications based on the best pitch.
A Facebook Event Is A Team Sport
Form a team of authors by asking your peers to join your pitch. Explain why your proposal should be my top choice. Qualities like number of social media contacts, number of authors you have on board, and the popularity of the genre will be considered.
The event will cost $100 per author. Each author must also agree to promote the event beforehand and to be available for a 2-3 hour window on the day of the event. Applications are due March 15. The winning pitch will be chosen on by March 22nd. If accepted, payment for the event is due from all authors by March 29th.
It’s free to pitch, so you have nothing to lose! Let the pitching begin!

What’s a Multi-Author Facebook Event?
It’s a Facebook party in which multiple authors each discount one of their books and agree to collectively promote a one-day event. During the event, the authors drop by to chat with readers and talk about their books. I’ve had some great success with these in the past. In the last event I ran, we sold 3,500 books in total.
That’s a lot of books! How’d you do it?
I’m actually writing a book about it, but if you really want a peek behind the curtain, you should apply!
Is this for individual authors, multi-author box sets or what?
Ideally, I’d like you to form a team of individual authors with the goal of gathering 16-20 authors in your genre by the time of the event. Past events I’ve done have either featured 16 single-author books or a mix of single-author books and multi-author box sets.
[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][et_pb_row][et_pb_column type=”3_4″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left”]What do you mean by a team of authors?
I simply mean you and a few of your genre peers. Chat with some other folks in your genre and see if they’d be interested in pitching an event. The more authors you have on board, the more I’m going to know that you mean business!
Do I need 20 authors to apply?
Not at all. I’d like each event to have 16-20 authors when it’s all set up, but at this stage of the game, you can apply with any number of people. If it’s just you though, you’ll need a pretty compelling pitch to get my attention.
What are you looking for?
I’m looking for a team of authors with some cool promotional ideas who want to best take advantage of this multi-author event. Even if you only have a few authors on board, we can find more together. If you have a great feel for your genre and some good folks in mind to target, that’s definitely something we can work with. It also doesn’t hurt if your team has a wide social reach and some good-looking books!
How many events do you plan on running?
I plan on running one, but if I get a lot of great applications, then I’d consider two or three at most.
This seems like a lot of questions to answer. Can I get a list of them to mull over on my computer?

[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][et_pb_column type=”2_3″][et_pb_text admin_label=”Text” background_layout=”light” text_orientation=”left”]What do these events look like?
Here’s a link to the latest event we did, March to a Bestseller 2.
Here’s a fiction one from late June 2014 called Dark Side of the Sun.
And here’s a post-mortem I did on the first event I ran back in February 2014.
Why should I and the other authors pay you $100 each to run an event?
These events take about 100 hours to run properly, and they lead to concrete results. Unless you have an extra 100 hours lying around, it might be in your best interest to hire me to do it. Add to that the fact that I’ve got several hundred hours of experience making these events successful, and you have a pretty good deal on your hands.
When is the application due?
I’m accepting applications through March 15, 2015. I’ll make the decision on the pitch by March 22nd. After that, payment will be due by March 29, 2015. The event will occur in mid-April.
Why do you hold these events?
I love authors and I love creative marketing. I can’t wait to see what you all come up with!
Pitch away!
